The long-established Johnstone company from Newport presents a new model for the European market. You can read the detailed test report in the new issue. Just this much in advance:...

...the name says it all. J, like sailing. Nobody who is seriously interested in a yacht from this company will expect a floating holiday home.

This makes it all the more exciting to see how the shipyard defines the term performance cruiser. What was considered necessary for a cruising boat of this size?

Born in Kiel, grew up on the water and on board, trained as a sailor in the club and sailing on the North and Baltic Seas. After school, navy and legal training, he worked as a trainee at YACHT from 2007-2009 in the Panorama department, which he now heads.
